How VIG Guide handles commercial relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, and affiliates, and how sponsored content is kept separate from editorial coverage.
The boundary
Editorial coverage on VIG Guide — pillar guides, topic clusters, brand profiles, manufacturer profiles, comparisons, and the future rating system — is independent of any commercial relationship with the subject of the coverage. The same is true of any future editorial score or ranking.
Sponsored listings
When sponsored listings are introduced, they will be:
- clearly labelled as sponsored on the page
- contained in a dedicated section, never interleaved with editorial content
- excluded from any future editorial scoring or ranking
What is never allowed
- Sponsored placement influencing the content of an editorial review or comparison.
- Editorial coverage being edited to favour a paying partner.
- Sponsored listings being folded into a future rating without a visible label.
Affiliate and referral links
VIG Guide does not currently include affiliate or referral links. If they are introduced in the future, they will be marked as such on the page and on the linked destination.
